The beach

The beach at the front of the house (Is it the front, or the back?  We can’t decide.) is quite literally a stone’s throw away.  There’s a short path through the yard and a row of native trees on the dunes, then… sand.

Look to your right and you’ll see Swansea.  It’s about a 15 minute walk away.  To your left, there’s sand about as far as you can see.  …and straight ahead, there’s Great Oyster Bay and the mountain range “the Hazzards”.  The beach is often deserted and you’ll have it all to yourself, though occasionally you’ll come across a jogger, dog-walker, and even the odd swimmer.
